Ian Gibson

Ian Gibson is an illustrator and author from Belize City. He studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art & Design and, over his freelance career, has illustrated numerous children’s books and created art and animations for video games. In partnership with Cubola Productions, he has illustrated several books used in schools across Belize, including the Sounds and Letters series that teaches phonics and reading. He is best known for The Jade Necklace, an illustrated fantasy adventure inspired by Maya mythology and his childhood visits to the Belize Zoo. He currently lives in Benque Viejo del Carmen.
